WHAT DOES SPACE TRAVEL HAVE TO DO WITH GHOSTS/SPIRITS?

It is often proffered by ghost hunters that a spirit can become trapped in a specific physical location due to some unresolved trauma or emotional imprint, or even appearing by will at some point in time. This idea taps into both metaphysical speculation and fringe physics. Although time travel isn't usually spoken of when it comes to ghost manifestation, considering the possibility involves treating time as a permeable layer. After all, we are talking about entities that aren't bound by physical laws and are speculated to exist outside the constraints of linear time.

It is important to acknowledge earth's relative position to time and space with these statistics:

1) earth's rotation = 1,000 mph at the equator

2) earth's orbit around the Sun = 67,000 mph

3) Our solar system orbits around the Milky Way at 514,000 mph

No one is in the same spot relative to space/time they were even one second ago. Time travel has to be reconciled mathematically to account for one's physical location in a specific moment or moments in time, including elapsed physical time during the journey itself which itself includes acceleration and deceleration.

So how does the ghost do it? It doesn't appear it's as simple as hopping into a machine and punching in a date! Of course, the usual plethora of ghost hunters would simply accept that the spirit realm operates in higher dimensions, allowing access to past, present, and future events simultaneously. From that perspective, time travel isn’t mechanical—it’s conscious or energetic. It would certainly leap over Special Relativity which claims time is relative to velocity.

In considering paranormal evidence in relation to time and space, one could extend the hypothesis of a kind of temporal bleed-through. For example, EVP may originate from different points in time, not just from the present or immediate environment. This is a persuasive hypothesis evidenced in the numerous EVP captured that contain disjointed words or phrases. Could they be not only from the past but retro causal as well? Could this bleed-through actually be the cause of what many call the Stone Tape Theory? Temporal bleed-through might not even be ghosts. They could be echoes of past human activity or future events which in itself suggests time is non-linear.

Speculatively, Quantum Entanglement suggests that particles (in this case, consciousness) might be linked across time, allowing information to "jump" temporal boundaries. The one big issue with temporal bleed-through is that it contradicts the spatial dynamics of conventional time travel, which requires precise relocation in both time and space as mentioned above. One way to get by these contradictions is to hypothesize that consciousness interacts with spacetime in non-local ways. If a person's mind or emotional state can tune into past events, then the location isn't the source - it's the receiver. It has been suggested numerous times that we ourselves create our own experienced hauntings.

The idea of consciousness existing after bodily death becomes even more convincing when Near Death Experience (NDE) testimony is given. Consider the case of Adam Tapp, a paramedic in Canada who was accidentally electrocuted and was clinically dead for more than 11 minutes! As Adams tells it:

Adam says he was 'perfect'. He continued: ‘It was this perfect inky blackness. I wasn't Adam. I wasn't dead. I wasn't anything. I was just perfect, like absolute contentment. Then I felt sort of this frequency started washing over me, and it was, it was like these fractal patterns. And it was like gasoline on water, this rainbow effect that was iridescent to some extent and it was just this juxtaposition of thoughts and feelings and emotions."

Adam explains that he felt like he was being pulled into pieces and becoming part of everything. He said: ‘It was like basically becoming the fabric of the universe. And it was absolutely perfect. Like there was no fear and it was nothing. This was just the natural progression of what every single one of us is going to do, which is go back to the source, go back to this infinite consciousness or infinite complexity." But during his experience, he says he then felt like he was being electrocuted again.

The paramedics were trying to revive him in an attempt to bring him back to life. He said: ‘At the time, I didn't understand what was happening. But in hindsight, it was me being defibrillated. I was defibrillated twice. I was in a ventricle fibrillation arrhythmia, which is basically the heart spasming." He says this caused him to become aware of what was happening and he contemplated his place in the universe.

He said: "Now I'm aware that I'm Adam, that I'm dead, that I just got electrocuted," he said, adding that he was then in a 'void of being' for a really long time. When he awoke from his eight-hour coma, he was surprised to find out it had only been that long. He said: "If someone had told me it had been five years or a decade, I would have been completely on point with that."

After leaving the hospital, Adam says he started to become hyperaware of himself, such as his natural 'pheromonal smell' and 'the texture of my skin.' Over time, he says he accepted being in his body but was left with an ‘overwhelming sense that this is just a stage, it's simply an evolution of consciousness.’ He added: "This is simply transient, where we exist right now, and there wasn’t any anthropomorphic figures or people in robes, it was just going back to the source of everything which is the infinite consciousness that permeates everything."

Interesting stuff, huh?
